The Palm Writer description page has been updated to reflect the new features which include a faster process with subsequently higher performance, a micro USB charge port for easy on the go charging, and a full Ergonomic Grip Kit that substantially increased the comfort of holding Palm Writer.

Robotics Research Group: The Second Generation Palm Writer, or Palm Writer V2 is now at release candidate status. The Palm Writer V2 is in testing with our foremost reviewer and the results of his work will be public soon. The Palm Writer V2 now includes a micro USB auxiliary charging port for easy charging in the field. The Palm Writer V2 series also now have the option to come with an ergonomic grip kit, which consists of a Palm Rest and Suspension Strap. The Suspension Strap is an elastic and Velcro strap that allows a user to hold a Palm Writer with very little effort. The Palm Writer will effectively float against your palm. Pictures of the Palm Writer V2 will be available soon. Any Palm Writer sales or fundraising activities will be for the V2.

Astrophysics Research Group: Indications of subsurface magma flow have suddenly appeared around Hawaii. This may be indicative of impending volcanic events. The probability of Earthquake and Volcanic event are very high for June 1st, peaking between 05:30 and 12:00 UTC. Please note that Project Homeworld is still in development and the accuracy of these assessments may be subject to error.

Robotics Research Group: The Second Generation Palm Writer upgrade is almost complete. We have integrated the enhanced performance processor and are still testing various ergonomic grip designs. These upgrades should be done by next week.

Morgan Dynamic Research is happy to announce that the 1st generation of Palm Writer is being redesigned into a much improved 2nd generation.
Robotics Research Group: The 2nd generation Palm Writer will feature the enhanced processing unit. This will result in a 35% increase of feedback performance on complex and absorptive surfaces and a 14% increase to overall feedback performance.
The 2nd generation Palm Writer will be substantially more durable and lighter. The Tactile Feedback Unit has also being registered with a single centered writer. This will ensure full ambidextrous usage of Palm Writers. The Tactile Feedback Unit is also now closer to the base of the unit. The 2nd generation will also feature the new smaller lighter Charging Station and a new ergonomic features. Sales may be delayed as we upgrade our stock.

Update: The ongoing analysis over the last several days has served to greatly advance the science behind Project Homeworld. The only outstanding geologic warning we will issue at this time is the following.
Geologic Warnings for the State of Hawaii For the region within 15 degrees of latitude 19.40 and longitude -155.28.
Elevated Probability of Major Earthquake (M5+) and High Probability of Volcanism for at least the next 7 Days.
Updates on the progress of Project Homeworld will be announced in coming weeks.

Robotics Research Group: All new Palm Writers will now feature a more advanced microprocessor. This results in greatly improved performance in all categories. The new microprocessor results in an increase in the maximum response time from 4.5 updates per second to 7 updates per second. This greatly improves the quality of the feedback from absorptive and complex surfaces. The sales price of Palm Writer will remain the same. However, battery life may be slightly decreased due to the faster processor.

The Morgan Dynamic Research Robotics Research Group is currently developing a lighter thinner version of the Palm Writer for children and people with small hands. Palm Writer Light will have reduced battery capacity and possibly range as compared to a standard Palm Writer, but will retain the other features of the standard Palm Writer.
