Curiosity has taken a picture of what appears, at a glance, to be a fossil on the surface of mars. We recommend that the Curiosity Rover perform a material analysis of this object to better determine its nature.  Though it may be unlikely that this is a fossil, the odds of this particular rock being a fossil from an ancient era of mars are non-zero.
