New Publication: “A Fractal Model of God” in Scientific GOD Journal
Morgan Dynamic Research is pleased to announce the publication of “A Fractal Model of God” by Mark D. Morgan in Scientific GOD Journal, Vol. 16, No. 2 (2025), in the Essays section. scigod.com
This paper is a conceptual essay rather than a physics derivation. It extends Fractal Theory into the theological and philosophical domain and asks a simple but difficult question:
If the structure of reality is fractal, what would it mean to speak about God in structural, rather than purely symbolic, terms?
Using the operator set of Fractal Theory, with Unity, Division, and Scale as core directives, the paper explores the idea of God as the ultimate recursion source embedded in both physical and cognitive structure. Academia It proposes that:
-
the same structural logic that organizes matter and fields,
-
also shapes mind, experience, and meaning,
and that the totality of existence can be interpreted as a kind of recursive thought field, the “Thought of God.”
Key themes include:
-
Unity as a directive toward coherence and wholeness,
-
Division as the creation of boundaries that allow structure and difference,
-
Scale as the recursive nesting of patterns from subatomic to cosmological and cognitive levels,
-
the idea that divine presence can be understood as the pattern generator that sustains coherence across all scales.
The essay does not argue for a supernatural interventionist God. Instead it offers a scientifically motivated framework in which God is identified with the deepest structural principles of recursion, coherence, and scale that Fractal Theory already describes.
This publication marks the first explicit theological application of Fractal Theory in a peer reviewed context, and sits alongside MDR’s ongoing work on:
-
the Three Force Fractal Model as a unified physics substrate,
-
Fractal Theory applications in trauma, consciousness, and relational healing,
-
and structural interpretations of astrophysical data such as the Local Hot Bubble.
